WHAT YOU DO MATTERS

While terrorist attacks in Australia are not common, it is important we know how to respond if the need arises.

The Australian Government has released guidance for keeping safe in the event you find yourself under attack. This training will provide best principals that may be applied to many places and situations, including attacks that are not terrorism related.

Objectives and audience

The What you do Matters training provides advice on what everyone can do if facing attacks from active armed offenders (e.g. guns and knives), improvised explosive devices (eg bombs or other explosives), chemical weapons or vehicles.

The training provides detailed process / procedures for occupants within a building, particularly those who work in businesses that operate in crowded places, such as stadiums, shopping centres, transport hubs, pedestrian malls, pubs, clubs, hotels, bar and café precincts, places of worship, movie theatres, tourist attractions and outdoor spaces.

This training,  is accompanyed by Powerpoint presentation, It is designed to be used as an extension of your organisations existing emergency training.

All wardens must be registered

It is a requirement that an current register be maintained in accordance with Australian Standards 3745 Section 5.7.2 (a)(i)
